A Happier, Healthier You
Let Us Find the Cause of Your Aches and Pains
Does your back hurt when you sit for too long, your knees ache on the way up the stairs, or your neck get stiff with too much working on the computer? Aches and pains are the primary reason that people come to Empire Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation.
Aches and pains can limit your ability to work, play sports, participate in fitness programs, and even force you to avoid your social activities. When your body betrays you and causes you to stop doing what you love, it is easy to get depressed.
There are various reasons for your back, knee, shoulder, or neck to hurt. Many times, those aches and pains do not have a direct cause, many people don’t twist their ankle, or fall on their arm, so we at Empire Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation take all the information we can gather from the history of the problem, what causes the pain to increase or decrease, our physical examination, and your responses to movement to determine the exact cause of the problem, down to the specific tissue that has increased your pain.
We will take all the information and develop a plan specific to you, so you can be rid of those pesky aches and pains. We discuss the plan and reasons for each of the exercises, modalities (such as heat, ice, ultrasound, electric stimulation, paraffin and others), and manual techniques that we will use to decrease your pain and keep it away. Our goal is to help you reach your goals and return to work, sports, fitness programs and social activities.
At Empire Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, we believe in a well rounded approach that will increase your range of motion, increase your strength, improve your posture, correct your balance, enhance your endurance, and increase your function. All these aspects of physical therapy are necessary in combination to rid you of your aches and pains and return you to your full life's activity.
